Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our monthly closing process. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP Microsoft 365 and a background in a Big 4 accounting firm. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Utilize ERP Microsoft 365 for financial reporting and analysis.
- Maintain and enhance ERP systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial data.
- Train and support staff in the use of ERP Microsoft 365.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings to enhance financial controls.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial controller or similar role.
- Experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong plus
- Proficiency in ERP Microsoft 365 is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Familiar with SEC requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
